The Nest at Lake Lure

Banjoe Vacations welcomes you to The Nest! This property includes TWO HOUSES! The Cardinal Cottage is one-bedroom cottage, AND The Hummingbird House is a one-bedroom tiny house. Amenities include a hot tub, SUPs, kayaks, a canoe, and pontoon boat ($). The rooftop deck is a fantastic place to relax. Toast the sunset on the upper deck. With so many places to hang out, even large groups will be able to spread out. And bring the dogs (additional fee required)! They will love the lake too.

More about Cardinal Cottage:

This cozy house is built right over the water so almost wherever you look, you can see the lake. The cottage is comfortably furnished with two pullout sofas, an indoor dining table, and two outdoor dining tables on either side. The rooftop deck has a large modular couch plus loungers and a hammock. And don't forget the hot tub! There is a full kitchen ready to whip up meals for the group (including an espresso machine!), but there are also lots of good restaurants in the area.

The house comes fully equipped to make vacationing easy. It is generously supplied with all the toiletries you need (but do bring your own toothbrush), plus fluffy towels both for the bathroom and for the lake or hot tub. There is a desk to get work done if you must, but it overlooks the lake too so you'll still feel like you're on vacation. With two people in the master bedroom and two people on each of the sleeper sofas, this house can sleep 6 people.

More about Hummingbird Cottage:

This is a classic tiny house with a vertical design. The top floor is the bedroom (don't forget to duck!) with a comfortable queen bed, a reading nook, and a fantastic upper deck overlooking the lake. The middle level has a comfy pullout couch and a kitchenette and the lower level has a not-so-tiny bathroom. The kitchenette includes a 2 burner stove, mini fridge, microwave, and a toaster. Out the door on the lower level is a cozy firepit overlooking the lake. With two people in the bedroom and two people on the sleeper sofa, this property can sleep 4 people.

**Additional note about Lake Lure:

Lake Lure is a town-funded lake that practices sporadic drawdowns. The drawdown of Lake Lure this winter will be from November 1st 2023 to the end of March 2024.

Please be aware that if you book from Nov - April, depending on what the town decides, there could possibly be little to no water in the lake. During drawdowns, kayaks, the canoe, and SUPs will be put away. However - there are plenty of other fantastic activities in the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area during the winter season!

You will have access to both houses on the property. This includes your own parking spaces, decks, two docks, water equipment, and the hot tub.

This house is located in a quiet and beautiful cove of Lake Lure. While there are houses nearby there is enough space on each side of the property to make you feel that you are on your own slice of heaven! The town of Lake Lure is small and peaceful yet has everything you need and so much to explore!
